Here you will find journals, photos, maps and videos of my trips. A couple of years ago I cycled over 16,000 km through Europe, South East Asia and Australia. Now I'm working in London, but still doing plenty of cycle touring as well as preparatory trips for the Next Big Thing, which will be a bit wetter and wind assisted...

01/05/2010: Brighton, United Kingdom
Cycled to Brighton today; 140km in total, felt pretty good during it, the chips on the beach made it worthwhile!
A nice weekend in Wales for Adam's wedding, followed by a couple of nice day walks along the coast
27/01/2010: Marylebone, United Kingdom
Updated the site to include pictures from 2009, including a second cycle tour across Europe, and sailing and cycling in Cornwall and the Canary Islands.
10/07/2008: Snake Valley, Australia
New version of macamat.com deployed. Features: YouTube video integration, notes (this is one), transport used shown for journeys, and more!
21/06/2008: Melbourne, Australia
Complete!
A pleasant run in from St.Albans to Federation Square along the Maribyrnong River finishes off a trip that would make Odysseus jealous. Final odometer reading: 15,381 kilometres.
Phew!
08/06/2008: 26km from Maranboy, Australia
This is the point at which I turned back for Katherine
04/11/2007: Vatkelī, Iran
Taken into a small room and interrogated by a (rather friendly, in a kind of disappointing way) Russian border guard
04/11/2007: Jil, Armenia
The Armenian - Azeri border is very tense, as they are still technically at war. You probably shouldn't hike up to it and then fly a kite. Ahem.
28/10/2007: Fīrūzābād, Iran
Yazd; Famous for beautiful mud-brick buildings, wind towers, and (for me at least) date milkshakes. Oh yeah.
20/09/2007: Irgani, Georgia
The world's worst toilet. Right here, on the Georgian side of the rail border with Armenia.
