2007 / Iran

Location is a guess - was on a day tour from Yazd
Ruined mud village

I got interviewed by Al Jazeera here!
Quiet mountain village

A standard cheap through-the-hole shot from me... Can't quite remember where, a town near Yazd. The building you can see is an old ice house, which kept ice from the winter nice and cool so that the locals could have ice in their drinks in summer.
Cheap trick

This is a really pretty town
Yazd

Persepolis

Persepolis Row

OK, I said no more blue tiles, but this picture is pretty and I'm proud of it. It's at the mausoleum of a very famous Iranian poet whose name I can't quite remember.
More tiles

These particular blue tiles were in Shiraz, but believe me when I say that for the next few months I would see thousands and thousands of the damn things. I will spare you photos of all of them.
Blue tiles

Esfahan

Kinda funny
Camel Tank

My favourite helicopter, first time I'd seen one in the flesh. Geek alert!
