Wandering around Sisophon before dinner I came across a group of locals in a park doing exercises to the tune of a giant speaker set up on the pagoda.
Exercises
 
On the infamous road between Siem Reap and Poipet. I hd the kid who just sold me a lychee flavoured fanta take this for me.
Break time
 
Some girls were selling these by the side of the road. The top section contained lots of 1-2cm green ovoid fruits all oriented towards the top. Peeling them revealed a white thing you could eat. It tasted of nothing much. What is it?

<br/>My brother ended the mystery - it is the fruit of the common lotus flower. Apparently it grows in water; when the fruit is ripe the stem bends down to the water and the seed pods, ready to go in their individual escape shutes, are released...
